There are so many myths and misconceptions about essential oils. A main misconception is what is defined as a "Pure oil or a Pure essential oil" labelled on the bottle?
Our founder, Kelsey, released that consumers needed a reliable source that told it just like she does...straight and to the point. No misleading or confusing advertising.
What does it mean if an essential oil is "Pure?"
This means that the essential oil isn't diluted with carrier oils. It is 100% ONLY essential oil in your bottle. Many companies can mislead consumers by advertising "100% oil" instead of "100% pure essential oils." When you see "100% oil" on the label it could mean that you essential oil is diluted down to a 3% dilution. This could also mean that you could be shortening the lifespan of your essential oil diffuser. The diffusers are designed to process a lighter oil like essential oils, not a heavy carrier oil. Eventually the motor or lines can burnout or become clogged. Rendering the diffuser useless and requiring the expense for another one.
These diluted oils also mean that you need to add so many more drops to your diffuser to get the same aromatherapy benefit as the "Pure Essential Oils."
This is exactly why you will find us highlighting the pureness of our essential oils as well as stating they are made for aromatherapy. If you want to use them topically we suggest mixing them with a lotion like our Back to the Basics Protein Lotion or a light carrier that readily absorbs into the skin.
