We are pleased to announce the KDL "Bombs for a Better Good" Campaign!
Alex is a ten-year-old local boy who has ataxia telangiectasia (A-T). A-T is a genetic disease that often results in loss of muscle control and balance, causing severe ambulatory restriction. Children and young adults with A-T are also largely affected by compromised immunity. A small "man cold" for non-compromised individuals can easily be fatal and turn into pneumonia for those with A-T. Many children with A-T also often suffer from cancer and lung disease.
We couldn't be more excited to launch this program with Alex and his family to join their fight in creating awareness and finding a cure for A-T. We are joining together to make a difference with these amazing Cotton Candy Scented Bath Bombs, with KDL donating 50% of proceeds from all of Alex's Army Bath Bombs to the A-T Children's Project.
Each year the A-T Children's Project Canada helps to fund research aimed towards finding life improving therapies and a cure for A-T. This includes the A-T Clinical Center at the John's Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore, Maryland in the U.S. It is staffed by arguably the world’s experts in this rare disease. Canadian families have full access to the clinical center for in-person evaluations, clinical trials, and phone consultations.
Alex is also currently spreading awareness and bringing attention to the disease by organizing a virtual awareness run on April 29, 2021. You can join the Facebook page here: https://fb.me/e/
